Audi Q5 Is All-New for 2018: Still the Standard-Setter for Luxury Compact Crossovers Says Edmunds.com

Audi has finally refreshed its Q5 model for 2018, the first big redesign since the acclaimed luxury compact crossover debuted in 2009. But given that the Q5 has emerged as the German automaker's top-selling model in recent years, the update is a careful one - more evolutionary in nature. Edmunds.com editor Dan Frio recently had the opportunity to spend some time behind the wheel of the new Q5.

The 2018 Audi Q5 features a very capable 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque; it's paired with a very efficient seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission and comes standard with all-wheel drive. The cabin is the essence of restrained and elegant design, and Edmunds.com recommends the Premium Plus edition, which includes a panoramic sunroof and heated leather seats, along with an in-car WiFi hotspot.
